Supervisory Engineer

The Advanced Passive (AP) Technology Deployment organization is seeking a Supervisor Engineer in support of exciting New Plant opportunities.  This Supervisor Engineer will support Westinghouse International new build market development and capture.  

The AP Technology Deployment organization missions are:  

• The integration of Global Engineering Services input in support of new build offers 

• The management of Global Engineering Services scope for programs aiming at improving the International marketability and the delivery of AP1000 projects worldwide 

• The lead and integration of Global Engineering Services scope in support of new build market development, early works and FEED contracts (up to the establishment of a project-specific org) 

• The development of International Project Engineering resources in support of future new build projects (up to the establishment of a project-specific org) 

This is a unique position that will be responsible for interacting with Westinghouse business units and Global Engineering & Component Services to assign engineers to tasks and guide work towards achievement of project goals and objectives.  The target applicant is high-performing, self-starting, solution-oriented and looking to continue leadership skill development. 

Specific responsibilities will be as follows: 

• Responsible to supervise a team of 15-20 engineers working on various early works AP1000 projects
• Responsible for the effective operations of the team and ensures quality, safety, cost, performance, schedule are met
• Providing trained and qualified resources to implement projects.
• Develop talent/skills for the team to meet business needs
• Ensure the performance of work activities in accordance with established Westinghouse procedures.
• Routine and frequent communication with all levels of management.

What we need to see from you: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering  (Master’s degree preferred)

• Previous experience on AP1000 or AP300 preferred 

• Ability to travel internationally as projects require (up to +/- 30% for peak times) 

• Effective oral and written communications 

• Ability to establish effective networks across various levels of management

• Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
