About the role:
As a Safety System Engineer you will implement comprehensive plans and strategies for delivering high-quality engineering products.
You will work with the project team members and with subcontractors and customer experts. Your responsibilities will include the design, testing, installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of I&C systems, such as EAGLE I&C Platform Systems and DPS System.
You will report to the I&C Engineering Manager and be located Temelin (NPP), Czech Republic.
Model of work: hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project specific software modifications
- Develop technical project documentation (Requirement specifications, Functional specifications, Design specifications, System descriptions, Reports, Operational & Maintenance documentation)
- Perform test and commissioning activities both at the factory and on site, incl. Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports
- Warranty & Post Warranty Activities and Support
- Aftermarket Support & Maintenance Activities (e.g. Troubleshooting I&C systems HW and SW failures, performing regular diagnostic analysis of I&C systems)
- Participation in technical meetings both project internal and with the customer.
- Obsolescence Management Database (OMD) data maintenance support.
- Work within the proper communication channels with the customer, project subcontractors and different Westinghouse offices.
- Help acquire and verify customer design inputs supplied to support design and installation activities.
- Help create and support the spirit of teamwork among the Westinghouse team members in the office in Czech Republic and worldwide.
- Comply with applicable company procedures and complete qualification programs required to perform job tasks.
- The Westinghouse Management assigns additional assignments to support technical or project management needs, and perform them.
Qualifications:
- Technical University Degree
- Programming experience (e.g. C/C++ or other programming language)
- Electrical Qualification to work under the 1000 VDC - Education should allow to maintain such qualification (former Decree 50/1978, now changed to NV 194/2022 Sb.)
- Good English skills
