The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for delivering end-to-end HR operations and employee lifecycle support for Westinghouse Japan. This role manages core HR administration, payroll coordination, employee relations support, compliance with Japanese labor law, HR systems maintenance, and HR program implementation. The position works closely with Asia HR, Global HR CoEs, local vendors, and business leaders to ensure efficient HR service delivery and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
|
- Provide comprehensive HR operational support across employment administration, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, and employee services for Japan.
- Serve as the primary HR operations point of contact for employees and managers in Japan.
- Coordinate monthly and annual payroll processes with local vendors and Global Compensation teams, including base salary adjustments and sales incentive processing.
- Maintain HR systems and data integrity, including SAP/Payroll systems (current STRADA, transition to UKG) and internal HR platforms.
- Manage employee insurance programs (life, accident, and other benefits), including annual renewal processes and compensation data consolidation.
- Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including HR orientation, documentation, and records management.
- Support compliance with Japanese labor laws and internal HR policies; advise managers on basic employee relations matters.
- Participate in Asia HR and Global HR meetings and contribute to regional HR initiatives and projects.
- Support recruitment administration activities, including interview coordination and candidate communication as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
|
|
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:
|
- Bachelor’s degree required.
|
|
Language Requirements:
|
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
|
|
Experience Requirements:
|
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience covering payroll operations, talent management, performance management, employee support, and HR administration.
- Experience in recruitment coordination and interview support is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems and payroll platforms.
- Experience working in a multinational company environment is an advantage.
