The Vendor Lead – Large Structures, Japan will serve as a supporting interface between APx Large Structure groups, WBS 1 (Containment Vessel & Shield Building) and WBS 2 (Structural Modules) teams and Japanese suppliers. The role demands strong leadership, cultural fluency, and technical expertise to maintain alignment with global project execution strategies. This role will require extensive partnering across WEC to develop a multi-project strategy to deliver on multiple projects in parallel. |

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority): |
|
|
Act as the primary liaison between Westinghouse and Japanese vendors for large structural components. |
|
|
Facilitate supplier meetings between the vendors and APx Large Structures group. |
|
|
Serve as trusted business partner to the Large Structure Senior Director and APx Supply Chain Vice President for each major customer project. |
|
|
Provide strategic direction and execution plans focused on successful delivery and implementation of our products that meets/exceeds incremental profitable growth for WEC. |
|
|
Guides and leads decision making, strategy development, and implementation for procurement of Large Structure components and equipment. |
|
|
Work with APx Supply Chain partners to develop and provide strategic sourcing strategies and execution plans focused on successful delivery and implementation of products that meet or exceed incremental profitable growth for Westinghouse. |
|
|
Support training and mentor new hires and/or existing employees working on customer projects for the first time. |
|
|
Participates in bid opportunities/meetings. |

|
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies: |
|
|
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement: |
Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering Discipline Required. MBA or master’s degree a plus. |
|
Years of Experience (if applicable): |
10+ years of relevant experience; at least 5 years in a leadership role of project delivery to major technical design projects |
|
Professional Certifications: |
None required. Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus. |
|
Skills and Competencies: |
10+ years of relevant experience Must be able to communicate in English and Japanese (Written &Verbal) In-depth manufacturing, financial, and economic acumen and understanding of Energy Systems Product Lines Ability to build relationships at executive level internally with WEC and with customers/utilities.
Strong business acumen Proven major program leadership experience. Strategic thinking Strong ability to influence. Strong executive presence Experience working in multinational teams. Experience in written and verbal communication to executives Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize their work. Self-starter that can define the problem statement and develop a plan of action for themselves and their teams and understand how to report that back up the management chain.
