Welcome to the Manufacturing Department at the world's safest and most efficient Nuclear Fuel Factory. We are 250 employees organized across nine units, responsible for the entire manufacturing process from raw material to finished nuclear fuel assemblies. Our operations encompass nearly every type of manufacturing process.

We are now looking for a leader for our Fuel Channels Manufacturing unit. This area manufactures fuel channels and for nuclear fuel assemblies delivered to Sweden, Europe, and other parts of the world. The operation consists of three manufacturing lines with partly shared and partly separate operations and production stages.

 

About the role:

You will enter a senior management role with a primary focus on the strategic and tactical development of the unit, while also carrying overall operational responsibility. You will be part of the Manufacturing Leadership Team together with five other Unit Managers.

 

You will lead a team of 45 employees. You will have two production supervisors reporting to you, who have direct personnel in the factory. Together, you will ensure the unit's progress toward the factory's long-term objectives.

The unit includes a wide range of manufacturing processes, such as bending, machining, automated welding, assembly, measurement and inspection, heat treatment operations and several outsourced manufacturing stages carried out by subcontractors.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be located at the Fuel factory in Västerås. You will work on-site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your organization, both short term and long term, to ensure production outcomes are achieved safely and with high quality.
  • Ensure productions plans
  • Responsible for personnel and budgets.
  • Lead the units cross-functional leadership team toward operational goals.
  • Interact with customer and regulatory authorities.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • At least two years of leadership experience with personnel responsibility in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with Lean principles and methodologies
  • Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
