About the role:
Within the Division of Quality and Process Development, the analysis laboratory for chemical and physical analyses are responsible of samples from products, process fluids, residual materials and emission analyses from the Fuel Factory's production. We are also responsible for maintaining the accreditation of the lab according to ISO 17025 and for the development and validation of the methods and equipment that we use for analyses. We have both daytime and shift staff among our 20 employees, who have responsibilities in routine chemical analysis, physical control, analysis quality, development of analysis methods, instrument technology and planning.
You will report to the Laboratory Manager and be located at Västerås, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Chemistry Engineer you will work independently with analyses and reporting results from the chemical process and quality control of uranium-containing material and with our environmental analyses.

The work consists of analyses with ICP-MS, but traditional wet chemical and physical analyses and instrument maintenance will also be included in your responsibilities.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with an analytical specialization, or another specialization with work experience equivalent to the position.

You have laboratory experience from an accredited business, and if you have analyzed inorganic materials, it is seen as a plus.

In communication with your colleagues and with the business, when you write method descriptions and reports, and when you occasionally receive visits from customers, it is important that you have excellent English in speech and writing.

Experience in analysis and development, e.g. development of new analysis applications, within ICP/MS or ICP/OES.
