Welcome to the department for Criticality Safety, Materials and Fuel Performance, a part of Westinghouse's EMEA Fuel Engineering department. We are about 30 employees with a high level of expertise working with nuclear fuel materials, nuclear fuel performance and criticality.

 

About the role:

As a Criticality Analyst you will ensure that safety has the highest priority with regards to the uranium workflow in our production of fuel pellets and fuel assemblies. Among other things you will:

  • Analyze systems and identify critical components and failure modes to determine potential risks and consequences.

  • Documentation and reports, mostly in Swedish but also in English

  • Develop and maintain criticality models and categorize system components based on their criticality.

  • Develop and implement procedures for criticality analysis and risk assessment.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams on criticality analysis and risk mitigation strategies.

 

We are looking for you who are analytic and put safety first. You are good at communication and ensure that information is received and understood. We also believe that you have experience from bigger industries and are motivated to learn more about the role as a criticality analyst within the nuclear field.

 

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in any of the following; physics, energy technology, medical physicist, engineering physicist or similar.

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience with calculations and writing reports

  • Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling.

  • Knowledge with industry standards and regulations related to criticality analysis and risk management.

  • Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

You will have a role with focus on safety and we will ensure that you receive the necessary onboarding and development required in this specific area of expertise.
