Electrical designer
Are you an inspired and structured person with experience in electrical design? Do you also want to work in a complex, high-tech industry and contribute to a better climate?
Welcome to BNT and the Manufacturing Technology Unit. We are about 40 employees in areas such as mechanical and process engineering, electrical design, measurement technology and automation. We work together to maintain the standards of the factory's production equipment so that we as a company can meet our customers' needs for nuclear fuel.
You will work in both project form and also individually in smaller tasks and changes where you lead the work independently.
Your contribution to the transition to fossil-free energy
As an electrical designer, your main responsibilities is Electrical design. This includes:
- Electrical design work of control equipment, power distribution and investigations.
- New design and upgrade of older equipment, expansion of existing equipment.
- Produce plant documentation, demolition documentation and system descriptions according to our instructions and templates.
- Requirements for external procurements
In addition to the daily work, we would like you to contribute to the evaluation and improvement of internal instructions and templates for design work and update older plant documentation such as electrical circuit diagrams.
You will work from the fuel factory in Västerås, Sweden with the opportunity to work remote a few days a week.
We are looking for you
To excel in this role we believe that you are driven and enjoy collaborating and finding solutions together with others. Have a great interest in technology and is motivated by continuous improvement. We also believe that you are curious, have a structured way of working and own your work since you will participate in all phases of the projects: Design, procurement, manufacturing, control, installation, review, commissioning and documentation.
You have experience specifying requirements for equipment and conducting technical investigations in the field and are motivated by improving processes with safety as a focus.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in electrical construction.
- Experience with cost estimates, procurements, requirements specification
- Experience in reviewing quotations and reviewing the supplier's technical work.
- Knowledge of EL-Master
- Master degree in electrical design, electronics or electric power or equivalent. Or equal knowledge from experience.
- Fluent in Swedish and English
If you also have experience in PLC programming, that is meritorious.
