Environment Protection Safety Engineer

About the role:

As a environment protection safety engineer you will work wide a range of questions and activities in the environmental area. You will develop the environmental management system and our environmental goals.

You will join a team of eight employees who work with safety, work environment and environmental questions. All with specialization in their specific area.

You will report to our Manager for Environment, Health & Safety and be located at Västerås, Bränslegatan. You will have some possibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational and strategic work in the area of environment and sustainability
• Responsible for contact with authorities and environmental reporting
• ensure regulatory requirements and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead trainings and presentations, internally and externally
• your work is cross-functional with focus on environmental and sustainability questions.
• Stay updated on new regulations in the area and continue to improve our work in this area.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher. With focus in environment, or equivalent knowledge thru experience.
• 3+ years experience from a similar role.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Swedish, written and spoken.
• Service minded
• Quality focused
• You put safety first

If you have previous experience in the nuclear industry that is meritorious. As well as if you have experience from a role as a expert in environmental and sustainability projects and development.
