BWR Fuel Solutions Manager

Your contribution for a carbon-free future
 

As BWR Fuel Solutions Manager, you will be a key contributor to the development of the BWR fuel and control rod blade (CRB) product plan and strategy, and provide technical sales support and execution, throughout the product lifecycle, including:

 

  • gathering and prioritizing product requirements, customer requirements and market intelligence in support of the development of the products strategy
  • working closely with engineering, operations, innovation, Account Teams (AT) to ensure that customer expectations are met and business opportunities are won

 

The work is done in close cooperation with BWR Fuel Business Managers and other internal functions, to ensure win-win business opportunities, nurturing Customer partnerships.

 

Responsibilities includes active support to the development and implementation of BWR Product Plans & Strategies, enabling long term product growth and customer value, by working closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure that Innovation/Product Development projects enter the market on time.

 

  • Survey Voice of Customer (VoC) and competitive landscape to understand market needs and prices (present and future) used for global product platform strategies, plans and roadmaps
  • Understand the Customer needs, identify business opportunities, provide input for business planning for both the short and long term
  • Identify unmet customer needs through appropriate market channels and capture planning
  • Identify and support the development of innovative and strategic solutions to create customer value and satisfy industry regulatory needs. 
  • Collaborate across the organizations to align and drive the product strategies and priorities. Provide regional input and ownership to business cases, product platform strategies, plans, roadmaps and opportunities
  • Actively support the definition, pursue, and monitoring of life cycle and lead product evolution, in close cooperation with Product Management, from concept to retirement to maximize value
  • Support the development of a product marketing plan prior to new product introduction together with the Fuel Business Managers
  • Development of solutions for customer issues/concerns in concert with engineering or D&I
  • Attend innovation stage gates from business perspective and assess the idea against return of investment (ROI)
  • Support maintaining and implementing specific strategic action plans to ensure that actions are completed, and WAVE initiatives are defined, managed, and updated accordingly

 

And providing BWR Technical Sales Support through proactively engaging the customers, in collaboration with BWR Fuel Business Manager and Commercial Integration as applicable, to win new business opportunities

 

  • Assess and analyze the market for the specific offering. Articulate and implement Value Selling Proposition (VSP)
  • Cooperate closely with Fuel Business Manager to identify unique products or core/fuel engineering solutions to meet and exceed Customer expectations
  • Interact with other Product Solution Managers to support integrated offers and solutions (i.e., uprates, Long-Term Operation (LTO), etc.)
  • Contribute to business growth, which will require development of relationships with customers, the regulators, and Westinghouse internal organizations
  • Support and provide technical input, cost and risk estimates, and terms and conditions for commercial proposals
  • Recommendation of pricing strategy to Fuel Business Manager, to meet financial objectives (sales/margin objectives)
  • Together with internal stakeholders, ensure Intellectual Property (IP) is protected as applicable (patents, trademarks, export control)
  • Look for opportunities to improve project performance (cost reductions, eliminate COPQ, contract change notices, etc.)

 

The role is placed in Västerås (Sweden) but other locations can also be discussed as the work can mainly be done remotely.

Qualifications 
 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline, 7+ years of experience in operation, sales, or business with increasingly progression and complexity and levels
