Welcome to Westinghouse and Nordic Control & Information Systems Engineering. We are 20 employees in areas such as system engineers and I&C engineers.

 

In the role of I&C Engineer, you will work with system and detail design as part of maintenance and modernization of nuclear power plant´s automation systems for both operation and safety.

 

 

Your tasks

 

The work often takes place in project form, where you get to be involved in all phases of the projects from feasibility study to construction, risk analyses, documentation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and training.

Your tasks also include analysis, investigations, requirements development, conceptual solutions, construction.

Some equipment is purchased from suppliers, therefore it is an advantage if you have experience supporting the project managers in cost estimates, procurements, requirements specification and review of quotations and review of the supplier's technical work.

The tasks are very varied and are largely governed by ongoing activities in the nuclear power industry.

 

You will perform this role onsite in Sweden, Västerås with limited possibility to work remotely.

Qualification

  • Master or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in the design of automation systems
  • Knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of the design of control systems (DCS and PLC).
     

Meritorious

  • Knowledge of control systems ABB 800xA or Siemens PCS 7/S7 is meritorious.
  • Experience from the nuclear power industry or the process industry
  • Knowledge of the designs of the nuclear power plants located in Eastern Europe
  • Knowledge about Global rules, regulations, and policies related to VVER-1000, VVER-440.
