IT Technician

About the role:

Welcome to our IT department, comprising approximately 35 professionals dedicated to managing our ServiceDesk, business applications, and infrastructure. We ensure reliable IT services and functionality for our operations. We are looking to expand our team with a junior IT Technician specializing in Windows Server and datacentre management.

You will report to our ISD Global Regional Lead - North Region. You will work at Bränslegatan, Västerås. The primary work location is our fuel factory in Västerås, with potential for a hybrid working arrangement when operationally possible. We require participation in an on-call rotation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily operations and maintenance of Windows Server, hypervisor, and datacentre environments
• Collaborate with users to assess requirements and enhance IT services
• Implement automation to improve efficiency
• Provide support for IT infrastructure within projects
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policy
• Upgrade and maintain hypervisor and Windows Server systems

Qualifications:

• Higher education in IT or equivalent experience
• 3+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools
• Driver license (Swedish B license)
• Professional fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
• Motivated by IT development and continuous improvement
• Customer-focused with excellent service orientation

Meritorious

• Windows Server Operating System, Hypervisor
• Experience with PKI/Certificate Management
• Expertise and familiarity with HCI solutions
• Background in large-scale datacentre operations
• Proficiency in automation and scripting within enterprise environments
• Knowledge of SCCM and storage solutions
• Familiarity with alternative operating systems such as Linux
