Manager Projects Procurement

Welcome to Global supply chain solutions (GSCS) and Project procurement team!

Westinghouse is growing and we are now looking for a Manager for our project procurement team. You will join a team that is driving change in the nuclear energy market in Sweden and you will support multiple major projects.

In the role of Manager in our team, you will be an important part in taking the project from start to finish by follow ups, eliminate roadblocks and if needed, escalate issues.

 

Your contribution for a carbon-free future  

As manager projects procurement your main responsibility is the large-scale procurement project and managing a team of 6 employees. Among other things, this means that you will:

  • Lead procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness, pre pilot, pilot and implementation.
  • Responsible for nuclear projects with cross-functional teams.
  • investigate, coordinate and communicate project changes.
  • Establish and negotiate pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to meet financial, quality and delivery requirements for highly complex and specialized materials.
  • Preparation and development of the RFx process.
  • Maintain extensive relationships with important suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement and Westinghouse´s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Utilization of Best-cost country sourcing, with focus on middle/east Europe.
  • Work towards the goal to provide clear, effective and innovative solutions to the organization's requests.
  • Work with digitalization. Make sure information are properly maintained in the different tools (S2P, Wave, EPMO etc.)

In addition to your daily tasks, you will also contribute to keeping the supply chain organization and business stakeholders informed of supplier capacity and market constraints for future plans and actions. We also see that you are innovative and learn from different departments and apply new technologies that create value to the end customer.

Your will work onsite at Bränslegatan in Västerås, Sweden with the ability to travel within Europe up to 20%. Remote work is possible a few times a week when suitable with the role and tasks.

We are looking for you   

To be a good match for this role, we believe that you have strong program management skills with and experience to coach and lead the team. You have a strong supply chain and technical background to purchase equipment and services. We also believe that you are strategic, can define prioritization and support the team with solutions. You have experience from Supply chain, contract management and purchasing of services and equipment for major projects. To succeed in this role you need a high attitude for ownership.

 

Qualifications   

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
  • Leadership experience with employee responsibilities.
  • 10+ years experience in strategic procurement
  • Experience in running large and complex projects
  • Knowledge in writing analytical and synthesis documents
  • Knowledge of local contract process
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

Meritorious

  • Knowledge in Nuclear industry or regulated industry
  • General technical knowledge of the nuclear field and products
  • Global project procurement management experience
  • Knowledge in Swedish or another language
  • Experience in cross functional collaboration

You will also have a Cost-focused leadership; deploy the sourcing strategy within the projects considering the total cost of ownership (prices, on time delivery, quality and safety etc.).
