Characterization of UNS N07752 (Ni-Cr superalloy)

for nuclear application

 

Background

The aim of the work is to understand properties of UNS N07752, type 1 (Ni-Cr superalloy). We want to understand how the properties are changed by re-heat treatment, how many times re-heat treatment could be done without deteriorating the quality?

Job description

  • Literature study
  • Different heat treatments
  • Testing and characterization
  • Report writing

 

Purpose

  • Study the effect of re-heat treatment
  • Study the differences/ similarities in properties of bar and plate

 

Qualification

  • Knowledge of heat treatment of metallic materials
  • Knowledge of tensile testing
  • Knowledge of metallography
