About the role

Welcome to our Criticality Safety, Materials and Fuel Performance department, a part of Westinghouse's EMEA Fuel Engineering. We are about 30 employees with a high level of expertise working with nuclear fuel materials, nuclear fuel performance and criticality.

You will be part of a group of fuel performance and materials specialists. This group has a combined wealth of knowledge in non-destructive measurements of fuel assemblies, metallic and ceramic materials. Additionally, they have a lot of experience in production technology.

 

You will report to our Manager Product Performance and you will work in a hybrid work schedule.

 

Your contribution for a carbon-free future

As an engineer in this group you will be an important part of the team to contribute to projects aimed at developing our nuclear fuel products. Based on your current expertise, you will:

  • support our production facility with engineering challenges
  • support purchasing in the selection and qualification of materials and suppliers
  • support the fuel performance team with expertise and development ideas
  • participate in shorter and in multi-year projects

Qualifications

  • Master of science in engineering relevant to this position.
  • Knowledge of relevant material issues in metallic materials, especially positive if you have expertise in Zirconium materials.
  • 3+ years experience in fuel performance related issues.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
