Mechanical Designer

In the coming years, the Westinghouse fuel factory will focus on carrying out a major transformation journey where we will develop our degree of automation, our production flows and our way of working. There is many equipment at the factory, including process, assembly, manufacturing and conveying equipment. We are now looking for mechanical designer who wants to be part of our development journey.
Your contribution for a carbon-free future
In the role of mechanical designer, your main responsibilities is the design of manufacturing equipment in the Fuel Factory. This includes:

Create assembly and detail designs on new equipment

Participate in all phases of the projects, such as feasibility study, design, risk analysis, documentation, testing and commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Close collaboration with our employees in the factory.

Improvement on existing equipment in collaboration with our maintenance department
You will work at our office in Västerås, located close to the Fuel Factory, with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent experience.

3+ years of work experience in manufacturing and product development.

Knowledge of mechanical designs and has worked with 3D tools.

Experience with PLM systems (e.g. Windchill or Teamcenter).
-
Experience with SolidWorks.

Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English.
Meritorious

Experience from the nuclear power industry, petrochemical or automotive industry
-
Experience in the design of lifting tools and CE marking.
- Experience in requirements engineering.
