About the role:

As a Mechanical Product Manager Decommissioning, DD& WM, you will oversee the end-to-end product management of mechanical cutting solutions. People use these solutions in the decommissioning and dismantling of nuclear major components. You will ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations across the waste management lifecycle.

You will report to the D&D Director, ELA OMS and be located in Västerås, Sweden.

Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and oversee the product roadmap for mechanical cutting technologies (e.g. sawing, milling, drilling, or shearing) used in nuclear decommissioning.
• Translate customer and site needs (utilities, EPCs, waste operators) into technical and commercial product requirements.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance (nuclear safety, ALARA, waste classification, quality standards).
• Lead coordination between R&D, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and sales.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept and qualification through deployment, industrialization, and obsolescence.
• Support bids, tenders, and projects with technical input, value propositions, and risk assessments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor solutions, and latest technologies in nuclear D&D.
• Focus on operator safety, remote handling, reliability, and waste minimization.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical / Industrial or similar engineering or relevant experience in Design and manufacturing guidance for Mechanical cutting Technologies.
• + 10 years of professional experience
