Control & Information Systems Engineering Manager

Welcome to advanced operations and controls engineering! We are part of a global organization of 25 employees in areas such as automation and computer engineering  working together to deliver safe and reliable I&C solutions to the Nordic Nuclear Energy Fleet.  

 

In the role of engineering manager in our Global Instrumentation & Control Engineering team, you will be a key player in leading the effective operations of the engineering team while driving safety, quality, and performance. This role will report to a global director who holds responsibility to support the global nuclear fleet market, and we are looking forward to meeting you!


 

Your contribution for a carbon-free future
 
As engineering manager here with us, your main responsibility is to lead and manage the engineering team for the Nordic control and information systems engineering. Among other things, this means that you will:

 

  • Responsible as a resource and technical manager for a combination of Westinghouse and Contingent Labor totaling 25+ personnel
  • Responsible to ensure standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, performance and that timeliness are met by the engineering team.
  • Develop innovative solutions to create customer value in collaboration with appropriate Westinghouse organizations.
  • Oversee and implement product development projects such as cost improvement objectives.
  • Responsible for group financial performance

 

In this leader role you will be expected to lead the team with a strategic focus, communicate vision for the future and promote culture that values a safety conscious work environment, technical excellence, and human performance fundamentals.

The role is placed in Vasteras Sweden at the Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel facility with the option to work remotely 2 days per week as business needs permit.

Qualifications 
 

  • Bachelor´s degree in engineering (Automation or I&C) or equivalent in related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership with instrumentation and control experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven history of managing and effectively lead a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team
  • Knowledge to oversee engineering activities and opportunity management.
  • Knowledge to verify products and services according to customer and Westinghouse standards.
  • Fluent in English & Swedish, both in writing and speaking
     

We also believe you have the skillset needed to

  • Demonstrate ability to lead the engineering of customer- oriented solutions which directly support company´s profitability goals
  • Demonstrate successful offer development skills in effectively estimating, planning and executing significantly complex projects/programs
  • Demonstrate business skills, including consideration of financial impact when making decisions

 

 

If you also have the knowledge  and experience with  Nuclear Steam Supply Systems, Feed Water and other nuclear plant systems that is meritorious!
