About the role:

As a Process Engineer you will support and improve our pellet manufacturing operations. You will join a team of 40 specialist working with process development, welding technology, non-destructive testing, calibration and material testing. Together we improve the manufacturing processes that power the worlds nuclear reactors.

You will report to the our Manager for Manufacturing Processes and Testing. You will be located at Bränslegatan, Västerås with a hybrid work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a specialist in manufacturing processes, contributing to development, improvement, and investment projects.
  • Provide technical support to production units through process expertise, training, monitoring, troubleshooting, and leadership.
  • Lead the development and qualification of manufacturing processes to ensure safety, and long-term reliability
  • Collaborate across departments as a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes, promoting teamwork and improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry or in industry-related research and development (R&D).
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes and material-related challenges
  • Proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Meritorious

  • Experience in nuclear fuel manufacturing or nuclear technology.
  • Background in powder metallurgy.
  • Familiarity with digitalization and applications of artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Experience in metrology.
