About the role:
Being Procurement lead responsible for nuclear projects, you will work with teams to build project strategies, procurement plans, and contracting strategies for delivery from concept to close.
As Part of the Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) Project Procurement Team, you will preferably have a Supply Chain (Strategy, RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Negotiation, and Contract Management) background with experience in purchasing of services and equipment for major projects, including Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning (EPCC). You will be a direct interface to our internal customers: Departments, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments, and Project Managers. You will have commercial relationship skills towards suppliers with the goal of providing clear and innovative solutions to our requests.
You will travel across Europe - 10 to 20%.
You will report to the Regional Manager, Project Procurement and be located at Västerås, Sweden. Model of work: hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
The Procurement Program Manager

Define a Procurement strategy according to the demand of the project and represent GSCS in a project team for any type of goods and services necessary for the project in compliance with the set requirements

Will provide guidance and recommendations to the partners to ensure commercial compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's procurement procedures are integrated into the project.

Will act according to the demand from the project, you will work with the different pillars of the GSCS organization to make sure a proper sourcing strategy is developed and deployed.

Will have a good understand of the Nucleal market and your customer demand and stay update on the new technology from the market.

Report weekly / monthly progress on the GSCS procurement activities related to the project.

Visibility on cost (Actual vs Budget) and Execution vs Plan.

Will be the main contact for any external communication with suppliers. You will be the voice with the external party for any commercial communications.

Take the ownership on Escalation process and Claims.

Work with partners (internal and external) to ensure compliance with the milestones on its projects.

Deliver savings on the project.

Develop a sourcing strategy and follow the full execution together with Project Team.

Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.

Establish pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements.

Preparation and coordination of the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services:

RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions including knowledge of negotiation of Westinghouse Terms & Conditions and Conditions with Primary Contractors, Clients, and Subcontractors.

Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment and services.

Analyze all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.

Develop relationships with suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.

Understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with GSCS Supplier Performance Organization.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement procedures.
Qualifications:
Within a complex Project, develop the Procurement strategy according to the demand of the Project / Interface with other Pillar within GSCS and Partners.

Knowledge of technical purchasing and purchase order processes,
-
8+ years of experience: procurement technical background & Contract Management knowledge
-
General knowledge of the regulations in your technical field(s) of competence

Mastery of IT tools (SAP, ARIBA, E-E-Auction)

Knowledge of project management tools

Expertise in writing analytical and synthesis documents.

Expertise in maintaining long term productive relationship with supplier (SRM)
-
A team player collaborating with multiple regions and products to serve Westinghouse's customers
-
Strategic orientation with the ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results
-
Experience in International sourcing
-
Experience running complex projects
-
SAP & Ariba or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial
-
General technical knowledge of the nuclear field and products is a plus
-
An advanced level of spoken and written English, Swedish is a plus.
