Welcome to Westinghouse and the EMEA Fuel Engineering team! We are about 120 employees in areas such as mechanical and nuclear design, thermal hydraulics and testing, fuel performance analysis and project management working together to develop and license fuel and core components for BWR, VVER and PWR reactors globally.
Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As we are expanding our BWR business we are introducing the role of Product Technical Manager for BWR CRBs. In this role, you will be a key player in the development, licensing, and analysis of BWR CRBs for our customers. You will also have a deputy role for other BWR Fuel products, working closely together with our current BWR fuel products PTM. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Among other things, responsibilities in the following areas:
- Interact with customers organization, line managers, project managers and product managers to coordinate activities for developing strategies on BWR CRB improvements to support current and future needs of our customers.
- Lead the implementation of the BWR CRB product plan.
- Identify and prioritize improvements in product performance, quality and cost together with the engineering team as well as production and product management.
- Own and lead the resolution of emerging technical issues and review of lessons learned.
- As part of the role, you may also act as a technical input lead for offers, technical lead in development and revenue projects, perform advanced calculations and analyses in your technical field as part of e.g. issue resolution, innovation projects or facing technical challenges.
This role is placed in Västerås, Sweden.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant area.
- Extensive experience in nuclear engineering, including the understanding of customer needs with regards to licensing as well as operation
- Knowledge on generic nuclear fuel design, regulatory standards in nuclear industry and licensing requirements, safety criteria of nuclear fuel design and safe operation of BWR reactors.
- Experience of successfully leading technical teams in complex, international projects
- You are a strong communicator, verbally and written, in English and preferably also in Swedish.
If you also have experience/skills/knowledge in working with mentoring and coaching engineers in technical disciplines that is meritorious.
