Production Leader

Welcome to BP Fuel Production and BPK Conversion. We are 35 employees in areas such as manufacturing, production development, management and planning. We work together to safely, efficient and with high quality deliver converted uranium powder for sale and to manufacture fuel chunks from the next step in fuel production. You will work with colleagues in facility management, quality and safety to mention a few.
In the role of Production Manager you will have an important role in coaching and leading the team towards achieving the unit's results concerning safety, quality, production volume, cost, staffing, employee development and improvement work.
Your contribution to the transition to fossil-free energy
As a Production Manager, your main responsibilities is the team, including the work environment. This includes tasks such as:

Leading the daily meetings

Responsible for reporting, process control and follow-up of operational metrics

Staffing and training responsibilities for the team
-
Lead continuous improvement
-
Coach employees
-
Administrative tasks
You are also part of the units' management team, which in addition to you, consists of, among other things, production developers, processors/planners, technical support, quality coordinator, and is led by the operations manager.
You will work onsite at the Fuel Factory in Västerås.
We are looking for you
To succeed here, we believe that you have previous experience working as a production manager with employee responsibility in the manufacturing industry, or experience in another leading role. We are looking for you that recognize yourself in our core values of safety, quality, integrity and credibility.
We also believe that you are motivated to coach and develop your employees and our business. As you will have some administrative elements in the role, we would like you to feel comfortable at your desk and on the production floor where you can deal with frequently asked questions related to production and the order of priority Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications

3+ year of experience in the role of production manager with personnel responsibility in the manufacturing industry. Alternatively, leadership interest and experience from another leading role.

Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing

Knowledge in Automation and Digital Solutions

Knowledge of change management

Understanding of how the processes as a whole are run for optimal production outcome

Understanding of how the different processes at BPK are connected and affect each other.

Knowledge of the regulatory requirements that are set for the conversion

Be able to train operators in the conversion processes and support processes
