Project Quality and Process Engineer
We are looking for a new team member of the VVER fuel team to work as Project Quality and Process Engineer for our nuclear fuel fabrication project.
General job description
JSC Energoatom is a public enterprise operating four nuclear plants in Ukraine. In this project you will be supporting Energoatom in the building, purchasing, training, and qualifying a Nuclear Fuel Fabrication facility in Ukraine for the manufacturing of VVER-1000 fuel assemblies. To succeed in this role you need to become familiar with mechanical side quality and process requirements for the manufacturing of VVER-1000 fuel assemblies. You will work onsite at Västerås, Sweden Fuels Operations (SFO) and you will travel to the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Columbia, SC, United States. You will also travel to Ukraine for continued periods of stay at the facility.
Responsibilities
You will have responsibilities including
- Support manufacturing operations at SFO to become familiar with the quality program, and the manufacturing processes and procedures associated with VVER-1000 fuel assemblies.
- Identify deviations that could create safety/environmental hazards or cause malfunctions.
- Help create a data package for the customer based on SFO's current VVER-1000 program.
- Be the quality liaison/coordinator for relevant Program.
- Provide consultation to Customer and personnel on quality program and manufacturing process questions.
- Consult on Development of process procedures of new plant operations
- Consult on Development of QA procedures, manufacturing processes and procedures, and qualification of new plant operations
- Contribute to training department for training development on quality procedures and manufacturing processes.
- Help with training personnel on basics of quality program and the basics of the relevant manufacturing processes.
- Help with oversight of new equipment and FAT tests to ensure equipment meets quality program and to ensure equipment meets applicable process requirements and procedures.
- Support interpreting during meetings and translation of written communication

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of work experience in an engineering role
- Product knowledge
- 5+ years of experience from the Nuclear industry
- Fluent in English and Ukrainian (writing and speaking)
Knowledge in Swedish is meritorious
