We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Protective Security Manager and Head of Security Department to take overall responsibility for developing and coordinating security activities across our organization.

You will combine the formal responsibility of serving as our Protective Security Manager following the Swedish Security Protection Act with the leadership of a broad security function. You will be an important member of our organization, working with senior management, business operations, and external authorities to ensure and business-adapted security protection framework.

 

About the role:

You will lead a department of specialist in areas such as security protection, personnel security, physical security, operational security, and transportation security.

 

You will report to the SVP, APX Project Development manager and be located at Västerås, Bränslegatan. You will have a hybrid work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Security Department and its employees.
  • Ensure compliance with the Swedish Protective Security Act, applicable laws and governmental requirements.
  • Develop governing documents, processes, and methodologies within the security domain.
  • Oversee personnel security, security vetting processes, and security culture projects.
  • Collaborate with government authorities and customers.
  • Monitor developments in the threat landscape, regulatory requirements, and external factors, and translate these into practical measures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, risk management, a related field, or equivalent competence gained through experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within security, protective security, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of protective security legislation and its practical application.
  • 5+ years experience conducting protective security analyses and working within security-sensitive operations.
  • Leadership experience with responsibility for personnel, budgets, and operational performance.
  • Experience with physical security, information security, and personnel security.
  • Experience working with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English

Meritorious

  • Experience from the energy, defense, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience working in international environments.
  • Certifications within security, risk management, or information security.
  • Experience working with security in critical infrastructure or security-sensitive operations.
