Quality Engineer

If so, you are welcome to apply to Westinghouse's nuclear fuel factory and our department BQC2! We are a wonderful group of 12 employees where we focus on systematic quality work and support to our different workshops. We are part of the BQC – Customer, Quality & Control unit, where we are a total of 30 employees. Our focus is to ensure that the quality of the products meets our specified requirements. We do this by ensuring that quality requirements in manufacturing preparation are followed, providing support to ongoing production, and leading problem-solving when needed.
In the role of Quality Engineer, you will make sure that our product maintains the high quality we strive for and that we follow our processes from start to finished product.
Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As a Quality Engineer your main responsibility is to support the business with your specialist expertise. This includes, among other things:
- Provide operational support to production.
- Ensure that the correct documentation is available before production starts.
- Handle deviations and abnormal events in production.
- Follow up and further developing existing control methods, control tools, gauges, and templates.
- Train and authorize inspectors.
- Participate in customer visits and production follow-ups.
You will work from the Fuel Factory in Västerås, Sweden with the possibility to work remote one day a week when it works with the business.

Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering) or equivalent knowledge through relevant work experience.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- 3+ years of experience from similar work in material manufacturing or mechanical processing.
- Knowledge of metrology and reading technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills and previous experience in quality work.
Meritorious:
- Knowledge of SAP and the Office suite.
- Trained in the quality field, root cause analysis, quality tools, management systems.
