About the role:

As a SRO Principal Engineer Nuclear Operations, you will work on the new generation of reactors. These include the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, as well as the new fleet of AP1000®. Additionally, you will work with the operating fleet from all over the world.

Building your skills based on actual operating plant experience in the field, combined with new plant development, will be a major accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry.

You will report to the Resource Manager and be located in Sweden.

Model of work: fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will acquire knowledge about writing operating procedures to define the way control room operators run plants in normal, abnormal and emergency conditions.
• You will develop test procedures supporting commissioning of new plants (like the AP1000) to demonstrate the functionality of component and systems from preop testing through the startup phases.
• You will then validate scenarios in control room simulators, before you use them to train reactor operators and implement them in plants worldwide.
• You will work with professionals in the industry who will teach you the technical and professional aspects of working as an operations expert in the nuclear industry.
• Your scope will include the operating fleet (integrating operating experience and new scenarios) and the next generation of nuclear plants (SMR and microreactors), giving you learning and development opportunities in both worlds.
• As an author of operating and test procedures, you may support the commissioning of new plants worldwide.

Qualifications:

• Reactor Operator (RO) or Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) or qualified SRO instructor.
• 10 + years of experience.
• Fluent in Technical English.
• European Union Citizenship or resident with valid work permit.
