About the role:

As a Senior I&C Systems Engineer you will implement systems engineering processes on large Westinghouse nuclear instrumentation and control projects and support innovative solutions created for the commercial nuclear sector of the energy market. You will lead technical design creation and changes across multi-discipline groups by applying solid design principles to apply configuration management, requirements management, and verification and validation concepts across multiple systems.

You will report to the Nordic CIS Engineering Manager and be located in Västerås, Sweden.

Model of work: hybrid.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate technical discussions between groups and disciplines.

  • Design, implement and support nuclear applications based on our requirements and customer specifications using approved technologies and coding standards.

  • Design, implement and support software components and systems to follow and satisfy engineering, scientific, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.

  • Develop positive customer relationships by positively addressing customer concerns and issues.

  • Decompose and implement technical and process requirements from contracts, codes and standards, or other project inputs into I&C specific requirements.

  • Produce interface specifications between different scopes of equipment.

  • Provide cost estimates for project scopes.

  • Perform documentation and engineering reviews for implemented hardware and software.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering or related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience working with licensing in Sweden or Finland including interpretation and understanding of SSM or STUK requirements.

  • Full professional proficiency in English and Swedish.

 

Preferred Attributes:

· Previous knowledge of overall design and operation of Boiling Water Reactors (BWR) and systems.

· Experience with nuclear instrumentation.

· Experience with configuration management and requirements management concept, verification and validation concepts.

· Familiarity with nuclear safety related software and hardware.

· Experience writing specifications, test procedures, user's guides and test reports.

· Expertise in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new and legacy applications.
