Senior Quality Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Control

 

Are you an experienced engineer with a background in quality control of electrical components?

Welcome to QP - Quality Programs and Oversight. We are 15 employees in areas such as project quality and supplier audits. As a member of our team, you will work together with committed colleagues and be a part of an environment that is both challenging and supportive.

 

About the role:

As Senior Electrical Quality Engineer you will monitor the quality and compliance of mechanical components and equipment for nuclear operation, support project teams in enhancing quality control and collaborate closely to meet customer expectations. Among other things, you will:

  • Perform quality inspections and tests of components.
  • Review control plans, final control documentation, non-conformance reports and take measures from a quality perspective.
  • Review technical documentation and quality requirements in orders for components and services.
  • Issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and audit certificates regarding final documentation of electrical components, I&C and installations.
  • Participate in audits of suppliers and in internal business process audits.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality management in projects.
  • Promote quality awareness and provide guidance to projects teams to enhance quality control in project execution.

 

You will work at our office in Västerås with the possibility of working remotely 1-2 days a week. The role requires travels to supplier and customer sites approximately 40 days a year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; electrical, control technology, quality management or equivalent.
  • 10+ year of experience working with quality within manufacturing industry regarding electrical components, circuit board or electromechanics.
  • Experience of interpretation of standards.
  • Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

 

Meritorious

  • Experience from the nuclear industry.
  • Experience working with performance management based on management system standards such as ISO 9001, PAKT, KBE, TBE YVL.
  • Knowledge of CE marking, EU directives, electrical safety regulations and standards such as IEEE or IEC.
