About the role:
The Senior Supplier Performance Engineer assumes responsibility for supplier development and performance across multiple projects and suppliers. You will manage projects and suppliers, develops oversight plans, and works independently. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex, requiring technical knowledge. You have a broad understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance/control, and the ability to help resolve complex issues.
You will report to the Manager, SFO Supplier Performance and be located in Västerås, Sweden.
Model of work: hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier development and qualification activities for multiple projects, including risk identification, mitigation planning, schedule management, and approval of supplier process documentation.
- Promote Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools internally and with suppliers.
- Develop supplier oversight plans to ensure compliance and performance improvement.
- Conduct evaluations of suppliers for manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, and supply chain risks.
- Perform on-site and remote oversight to validate supplier capability, resolve issues, and lead improvements.
- Manage corrective action requests, perform analyses, and verify completion of preventive actions.
- Support and escalate quality events, coordinate activities, and ensure timely resolution and communication.
- Evaluate procurement risks and develop security of supply plans; support make/buy decisions using manufacturing process knowledge.
- Create qualification reports, oversight reports, supplier scorecards, and manage supplier-related NCRs and SCARs in SAP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
- 5+ years of progressive engineering/manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with process capability analysis (Cpk), PFMEA, and qualification activities.
- Experience with reading and interpreting ASME-standard drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing multiple projects and suppliers independently.
- Manufacturing and Quality Plans understanding.
- Not essential, but helpful: Project Management experience.
- Not essential, but helpful: Nuclear industry experience and familiarity with NQA-1 standards.
