IT Support Specialist

About the role:

As a Site Support Specialist you will provide IT support for the Vila-Seca Office in Tarragona.

You will report to the ISD Spain Manager and be located at Vila-Seca office, with the possibility of temporary assignments to some of our offices and main clients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure daily IT operations and systems support.
• Manage incidents and service requests using ITSM tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both in-person and remotely, using approved communication platforms.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support.
• Procure and deploy approved hardware and software; assist users with ITSM requests.
• Configure and deploy new or replacement devices (servers, network equipment, PCs, laptops, printers, mobile and fixed telephony).
• Perform regular checks to ensure hardware and software functionality.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory in the CMDB, following company policies.
• Manage inventory, including reception, registration, and shipment of IT equipment and materials.
• Support the estimation of demand for laptops and other end-user devices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete hardware and software in compliance with company guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework; certification valuable.
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications valuables.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• 2+ years of experience working on similar activities.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Provide feedback on technology plans to the Regional IT Manager.
• Ensure data protection and compliance with Westinghouse security policies.
• Perform tasks according to safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to deliver tailored IT solutions.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT and external vendors to support project execution.
