About the role:

The Licensing group is part of the Global Engineering Components and Services (GECS) organization and provides technical services for the ANAV licensing activities, licensing activities for new plants, and for other operating plants.

As a Licensing Engineer you will support licensing activities like Safety Evaluations for Design Changes, ALARA analyses, Environmental Assessments, FSAR of NPP analyses, Seismic & Environmental Qualifications (Seismic & EQ) Analysis, follow up of License Basis Regulations and Conditioned Application Regulations (NAC) and preparation of Engineering Studies and Technical Reports related to Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection.

You will be based at the Vila-Seca office in Spain with some required travel to customer sites within Spain.

You will report to the Supervisory Engineer of Operating Plants Licensing and be located at Vila-Seca office, with some required travel to customer sites within Spain.

Hybrid work schedule.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in local and international projects developing multiple assignments within the Licensing discipline.

  • Report directly to the technical lead of the Vila-seca Licensing group.

  • Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.

  • Develop expertise in US and international nuclear regulations.

  • Create licensing and technical submittals for utilities and nuclear regulators.

  • Work in teams to resolve critical issues impacting the construction and operation of nuclear power plant.

  • Develop a business relationship with other Westinghouse engineers and our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (relevant Master's degree will be valued).

  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English (minimum B2 or MCER equivalent).

  • You are EU Citizen, authorized to work in Spain.

  • Availability for international travel.

  • Previous knowledge or experience in the nuclear sector will be valued.
