Risk Analysis Intern -Tarragona 

 

General Job Function:

Support Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA) for nuclear power plant systems, evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.) for domestic and international plants.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):

  • Perform PSA tasks, using software tools such as RiskSpectrum and CAFTA
  • Perform database population and data analysis for various programs
  • Perform code validation testing activities
  • Coaching by experienced engineers
  • Thorough documentation of analyses

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:

Graduate Student, Focusing on Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or Nuclear Engineering

Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with Probabilistic Safety Assessment
  • Fluent in English with proven writing skills
  • Strong technical interest, predisposition for multi-tasking, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required. 
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles
  • Ability to work seamlessly with global team through various communication styles (email, phone, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Database management and data analysis skills considered a plus
  • Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit
