Senior Project Engineer

As a Senior Project Engineer you will support the New Plant Control Systems Engineering resource manager and Energy Systems Project Managers and be assigned to manage one or several technical areas. This is a unique position in that the Senior Project Engineer will act in simultaneous Project Management, Issue Manager and Technical Leadership roles.

You will report to the GOS Manager, Control & Information System Engineering and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA facility. This is a hybrid position. There is no relocation assistance provided for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide functional area completion of required scope to support plant

• Manage the schedule and cost.

• Guide an accurate demand signal to the departments and work with Resource Managers to resource load the schedule.

• Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plans.

• Lead contact for Functional Area Leads and Energy Systems Project Manager.

• Supports the Resource Managers, Project Manager and Technical Lead.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.

• Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:

• Integrated systems Engineering
• Control Systems and Setpoints
• Full Scope Simulators
•  Plant Control Systems including Data and Display Systems
• Turbine Control and Protection
• Cyber Security
• Protection and Safety Monitoring System
• Product Development – hardware and software
• Independent Verification & Validation including Test Engineering

• Command of responsible subject matter and the product application life cycle and design process for the assigned subject matter area.

• Knowledge of project management principles and a desire to work in a newly defined technical project management role.

• Ability to establish networks across multiple departments within GIC, Energy Systems, GECS and GSCM.

• Previous experience on AP1000, APR1400 or AP300 preferred

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
