The EH&S Expert will be responsible for providing environmental and safety regulatory oversight across project design interfaces, ensuring the adaptation of a U.S.-based nuclear plant design complies with Polish environmental, health, and worker safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide local design teams in integrating Polish environmental and occupational health and safety requirements into engineering packages.
• Develop documentation for environmental licensing and permit applications.
• Support alignment of project execution with EU directives (e.g., 2011/92/EU, 89/391/EEC) and IAEA safety fundamentals.
• Coordinate with authorities on health and environmental review processes and compliance verification.
• Provide input into the development of the project's overall derogation strategy regarding EH&S topics.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of EH&S experience in large infrastructure or energy projects in Poland.
• In-depth knowledge of Polish environmental law and EU environmental and workplace safety directives.
• Experience working with Polish permitting authorities and ministries.
