Poland Lead Licensing Engineer

You will lead complex engineering and licensing activities to support AP1000 PWR projects in Poland including implementation of Site Licenses and Construction Licenses for applications in country. You will be a technical expert and discipline lead. You will provide technical leadership for the development, integration, review, and execution of multiple deliverables, including licensing, safety analysis, engineering, and regulatory requirements. These deliverables are necessary to support project milestones and regulatory approvals.
You will combine deep technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities, including mentoring engineers, coordinating diverse engineering activities, resolving technical challenges, and improving projects. You will work with customers, regulators, technology organizations, and project leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that help deploy AP1000 technology.
You will report to the Senior Manager and be located at Warsaw office. You will work in hybrid model with 2 days at office.
Responsibilities:

Lead versatile engineering teams in the development of licensing, safety analysis, and technical documentation supporting AP1000 projects.

Be the technical discipline lead for complex engineering programs, ensuring technical quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Lead development and integration of licensing basis documents, safety analysis reports, technical reports, engineering evaluations, and supporting regulatory submittals.

Support development and execution of Construction License Application (CLA), Operating License Application, and other nuclear licensing activities.

Provide technical guidance for engineering studies involving reactor safety, nuclear systems, thermal-hydraulics, severe accident analysis, probabilistic risk assessment, licensing evaluations, and related disciplines.

Coordinate technical interfaces across engineering disciplines to ensure successful integration of engineering deliverables into broader project goals.

Establish daily operational priorities for assigned engineers and technical teams and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, quality requirements, and engineering standards.

Support customer meetings, technical workshops, regulatory interactions, and executive briefings related to engineering and licensing activities.

Use knowledge of Westinghouse technologies and industry practices to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth opportunities.

Support resource planning, technical staffing assessments, and execution strategies for engineering programs and project deliverables.

Prepare technical recommendations, cost-impact evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments supporting project decision-making.

Identify technical risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies to support project schedules and organizational goals.

Resource management responsibilities including hiring, training and conduct performance reviews.

Budget responsibilities associated with functional area scope.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics, or related engineering discipline

12+ years of applicable experience
- Fluent knowledge of Polish and English

Recognized Subject Matter Expert in one or more engineering disciplines including nuclear safety analysis, licensing, reactor systems, severe accident analysis, thermal-hydraulics, probabilistic risk assessment, or engineering design.

Demonstrated experience supporting nuclear licensing activities and development of licensing documentation, including Safety Analysis Reports and regulatory submissions.

Experience with nuclear regulatory frameworks and licensing processes.

Familiarity with international nuclear safety standards and regulatory frameworks, including IAEA guidance and European nuclear regulatory practices.

Experience to translate technical information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership, customers, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Experience presenting engineering positions and technical recommendations in regulatory and customer-facing environments.

Technical writing skills
- Availability to travel 10-20% of the time
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 17,000 to 21,250 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
