About the role:
The Principal Procurement Project Manager will oversee all the procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems with a focus on ensuring components are delivered, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements. You will lead large-scale procurement projects, collaborating with teams to build implementation plans. Lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution.
You will partner with GSCS to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements. Monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues. Coordinate project changes. Contribute to development a sourcing plan to minimize risks, create savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution.
Responsibilities:
- Support development of sourcing & procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.
- Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve our goals
- Coordinate the RFx Process and establishing sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
- RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions
- Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment and services.
- Lead Contract preparation and purchasing process.
- Evaluate all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements.
- Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.
- Develop relationships with main suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
- Use the corporate Approved Supplier List Process for sourcing requirements.
- Understand all the important operational and commercial elements of suppliers such as: Financial Stability and Goals, Global/Regional Presence, Available Capacity, Top customers, and Top competitors and keep the Supply Chain Organization and partners informed of supplier capacity/performance and market constraints for future plans and actions
- Understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with Supplier (SPE) Organization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement procedures.
- Manage supply and supplier commitments after purchase order or contract is made, including change and contract management. Understanding and analyzation of the entitlement and cost basis, supporting negotiation, drafting agreements on changes and reflecting the change in the System (SAP)
- Support the Accounts Payables for resolution of discrepancies between the supplier invoices and the purchase orders.
- Use Best-Cost Country Sourcing, with emphasis on middle/eastern Europe.
- Work in hybrid or remote model
Qualifications:
- 7-12 years of experience in contract/project administration of large engineering, procurement, and construction, cross-functional projects
- BA/BS degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience developing and maintain long term productive relationships with suppliers (SRM)
- Readiness to engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships.
- Experience in International Sourcing (knowledge of supplier base for the nuclear sector would be a plus)
- Must be creative and have strong problem-solving skills along with sense of ownership, time-management, prioritizing, planning, and self-direction skills.
- Experience transforming plans into practical, results-driven operations.
- Microsoft Project Expertise or similar scheduling software systems
- Availability to travel from 10 to 20% (within Europe, Poland)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
