As a Senior Engineer will verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery. You will evaluate our suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager. You will work with customers, managing projects, and reporting for opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, eVinci, and other products within the Energy Systems Portfolio. Personal, industrial, and nuclear safety as a fundamental part of their job.

 

Hybrid– 2 days in the office a week for team collaboration.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Assessment:

    • Support Supplier Identification and down selection.

    • Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations.

    • Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations .

    • Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation (i.e., draft SAP requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements).

    • Lead Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings

  • Supplier Oversight:

    • Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.

    • Accomplish Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.

    • Support the project management team to work with Supplier Quality support organizations.

  • Supplier Development & Management:

    • Create Agendas and Lead Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers.

    • Conduct scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly) with Supplier Project Team Members.

    • Manage Westinghouse Project Support Team Execution.

    • Manage execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points.

    • Hold pre-job briefs and kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.

    • Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices

    • Provide periodic Project Schedule Updates and Customer Status Updates.

    • Ensure all required Supplier PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.

    • Complete the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) to support shipment.

    • Archive the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) in PRIME.

    • Archive QR/QADP in PRIME and then send it to the site or customer (as defined by the project) to aid in receipt and turnover of equipment.

    • Work with Westinghouse Logistics to arrange for shipment.

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in contract management in project-based environments.

  • Experience in the Power Generation, Nuclear Industries or any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain

  • Fluent in English

  • Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development. 20% varies by project demand. Mostly travel within Europe.

  • Demonstrates exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical capabilities, effectively influencing stakeholders and driving successful business outcomes.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
