About the role:

As a structural analysis intern you will work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering. You will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop your engineering skills.

You will report to the (Structural Design & Analysis Manager and be located at our Windsor location. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and analysis of mechanical systems and components.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and calculation notes.
  • Support ongoing projects by authoring and verifying non-conformance reports.
  • Participate in technical presentations and written communications for customers and management.
  • Research new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes and design assembly fixtures.
  • Contribute to design reviews and present technical designs and analysis results to team members.
  • Support the department with necessary technical, lab testing, or clerical work.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD.
  • Previous internship or project experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with 3D CAD and analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section III and Section XI, ANSYS, Inventor, and Matlab.
