About the role:

As a Simulator Operation Engineer, you will ensure that the high-fidelity simulators used to train licensed nuclear power plant operators perform exactly as intended. You will work at the intersection of plant operations, engineering analysis and advanced simulation technology—turning data into insights, investigating complex behavior and contributing to projects with an impact on nuclear safety and operator readiness.

You will report to the Simulator Operational Support Manager. You will be located at the Almaraz offices. This is a full-time hybrid remote/in-office role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform verification, validation and acceptance testing on full-scope nuclear power plant simulators.
  • Compare simulator performance with plant reference data, operating procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify causes and collaborate with specialists to implement solutions.
  • Contribute to modernization, upgrade, Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test campaigns.
  • Prepare clear technical reports, test records and engineering documentation.
  • Work with international teams across simulation, modeling, systems, controls and instrumentation.
  • Support technical meetings, customer demonstrations, audits and regulatory inspections.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Energy, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical)
  • Knowledge in nuclear energy, power generation or complex industrial systems, control systems, instrumentation, modeling, simulation tools, programming, automation, and data analysis
  • Spanish and English proficiency
  • Driver's license
  • Ability to travel
