We’re hiring a Project Coordinator to help support our Westinghouse Electric Canada team. This individual will be accountable for supporting Project Managers in the delivery of engineering, manufacturing and outage projects for our customers within the CANDU Nuclear industry. This is a mobile position, expected to be on site 2-3 days a week, and can be based out of any of our facilities in Ontario (Burlington, Kitchener, Peterborough, or Port Elgin). The Burlington and Peterborough locations would be preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers in execution of the full project lifecycles from proposal through to implementation including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and close-out. Day to day responsibilities including:
- Tracking project actions and following up with owners to ensure on-time completion
- Monitoring and updating progress of project schedule and resource demand forecasting
- Review of project cost reports, monitoring of budgets and KPIs to identify actions
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with contract and quality assurance requirements
- Generate internal and external project status reports
- Collect, input and organize project data from various sources, including documentation and distribution of project meeting minutes
- Ensure regular clear, consistent and accurate communication with project stakeholders.
- Travel to customer and other office locations as required
Who You Are:
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management
- 1-2 years of project or engineering experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Aptitude towards a fast-paced work environment and decision making
- Strong sense of accountability and drive to obtain results
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, clear and concise
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing or project management through a combination of work and study
